the atlas city never sound so much better

yep, guess what? im in atlas city now. for a long "holiday" :p

it will be a good trip.

in this town, i have visited many interesting place. start from tawang station, paragon, gramedia, and the last, lawang sewu.

yep. this is my first time for visiting lawang sewu. and guess when? i visited lawang sewu at night. yep, at night :p

i watched many good bands from atlas city there. especially my uncle's band. :p

that's a beautiful moment. yep.

btw, thanks to "sekazo" friends for a great dinner :p

the tielman brothers.. musisi rock n roll yang dilupakan bangsanya..

yep,, tielman brothers.. mungkin pada gak tau ya ini apaan? yep, ini adalah nama dari sebuah band. tapi, sebelum itu, kita bicara dulu soal the beatles, jimi hendrix, dkk.

yap, siapa gak kenal beatles sih? band rock n roll yang jadi legenda musik rock. gausah dijelasin pun pasti tau. n, jimi hendrix. gitaris mana yg gak tau jimi hendrix? gitaris blues yang juga melegenda.

tapi, ada satu band yang jauh lebih dulu terkenal bahkan sebelum the beatles lahir. yak, merekalah the tielman brothers. buat yang nanya ini band mana?? ini adalah band INDONESIA.

yak, BAND INDONESIA yang jauh lebih dulu terkenal sebelum beatles ada, terkenal di berbagai belahan dunia, namun sayangnya kurang dikenal di negerinya sendiri.

The Tielmans Brothers merupakan sebuah band rock yang terdiri dari 4 anak muda asal Maluku. Band yang semula bernama The Timor Rhytm Brothers lalu berubah menjadi The Four Tielman Brothers, dengan personil empat bersaudara Tielman: Andy(lead guitar, vocal), Reggie (rhytm guitar, vocal), Phonton (double bass, vocal), dan Loulou (drums, vocal).

bahkan, ada beberapa fakta menarik. jauh sebelum jimi hendrix mempopulerkan teknik gitar yang nyeleneh kayak main gitar di belakang kepala, dsb, andy tielman sudah jauh lebih dulu mempopulerkan nya.

dan, siapa yg gak tau teknik tapping ala eddie van halen?? yap, lagi2 andy tielman sudah jauh lebih dulu mempopulerkan nya sebelum eddie van halen ngetop.

dan lagi, Konon, Paul McCartney (beatles) ternyata mengagumi band ini dan terinspirasi The Tielman Brothers sebelum The Beatles terkenal pada awal 1960-an. Maklumlah, The Tielman Brothers telah membawakan lagu-lagu rock n roll jauh sebelum The Beatles muncul. Saat The Beatles manggung pertama kali di Jerman, grup band asal Inggris ini sempat melihat penampilan The Tielmans Brothers yang manggung menggunakan Hofner Violin bass. Dan saat itulah untuk yang pertamakalinya Paul melihat Bass Violin Hofner. Andy Tielmans sang gitaris memakai Fender Jazz Master khusus 10 strings. Fender sengaja mengirim representative-nya ke Jerman saat itu untuk merancang gitar buat Andy Tielmans.

bahkan, andy memiliki gitar gibson les paul keluaran pertama di belanda saat itu.

Sayangnya, di tahun 1976 band ini dikabarkan bubar karena boleh dikatakan permainan musik mereka terkesan mandek dan tidak ada perkembangan alias kurang eksploratif. Mereka bermain musik di tataran yang itu-itu saja, dan itulah yang akhirnya membuat publik menjadi bosan. Begitupun, karya mereka sampai sekarang masih sangat digemari di luar negeri, terutama di Belanda.

yap, merekalah the tielman brothers.. band indonesia yang bahkan hampir gak dikenal di negaranya sendiri.,, tapi memberikan kontribusi besar untuk musik rock dunia.. bahkan teknik2 bermain nyeleneh dan frontalnya pun diikuti banyak pemain2 legenda sekarang..

tapi ironisnya,, sedikit sekali orang indonesia yang mengetahui band ini...

i'm an atlantis seeker

yeay! that national exam was end! but, that's not mean that i'm free, there's still 2 exams that i must face them.

ok, that's not important. in this post, i just want to type about, see the title, and you will know what's the mean idea of this post.

"atlantis" is the lost city. atlantis can be a myth city. a city that drowned by the sea.

but, someone says, atlantis means happiness. atlantis means something that make you feel happy, smile. who says that? yeah, actually, he is a songmaker of a song called "rediscovering atlantis".

and i just agree with him. "rediscovering atlantis" means seeking for an old happiness that you have forget it for so long.

but that's just his definition for "rediscovering atlantis". and me, i have my own definition for that.

for me, "rediscovering atlantis" means seeking for another happiness that you never dream about it.

a happiness that you never realize about it. a happiness that you never predict about it. sounds good, right?

i predict, you think that's easy thing to do, right? in reality, look for some happiness that you never realize it is a hard thing to do. sometimes you dont know what thing that can be a "happiness"

in reality, look for a sadness is easier than look for happiness. why? because you never let your heart feel happy, you always think a thing that always make you sad, always make you cry. eventually, cry never give you a solution. you can't think when you are sad.

so, let's fill your day with happiness. and let's find the happiness. :)
